It’s a ballad with folky sensibilities woven into an almost lullaby-like sound. Lilting melody lines and personable, diary-entry lyrics are lifted by ethereal harmonies and underpinned by the ever-present acoustic guitar. The explain that the song “is about the often bittersweet arrival of some long-awaited, inevitable conclusion.
